Michael Anderson School is so proud to have received The Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant! 

Through this targeted grant, we are able to provide Beyond-the-Bell programming for students in grades 1st through 8th. This includes specific academic tutoring, academic enrichment and activities including dance, art, STEAM and opportunities for collaboration. 

During the spring and summer of 2020 and the 2020-2021 school year, this program has shifted to an entirely virtual format. Students still receive small group interventions, exciting enrichment experiences and important time for collaboration, using all digital platforms.

This program includes students who currently attend in-person instruction during the regular school day, students who are attending the normal school day virtually and students enrolled in AESD’s Digital Academy.

This program would not be possible without the support of Michael Anderson School’s teachers, paraprofessionals and administrators. With their collaboration and hard work, we are able to support students beyond the bell, to help them reach their goals!
